It aims to equip believers with practical tools to establish government over the inner life and build an atmosphere capable of hosting the presence of God.
Start Date: 7th Feb 2026
Duration: 16 weeks. Every Saturday, 7pm WAT
Platform: Zoom

Why this course matters
In an attention-economy age, where the world is deliberately engineered to capture, fracture, and monetize human attention, the inner life of the believer is under constant assault.
If a person is formed by what they continually behold, learning to rightly steward our attention is no longer optional but necessary to spiritual survival. This course will teach you how to:
Understand what meditation is from a Christian and Biblical point of view.
Learn the diverse methods by which the saints and patriarchs of old cultivated a deep and experiential relationship with God.
Discipline a mind that is restless and prone to distraction.
Cultivate both your inner life and external environment to become conducive for divine encounter.
Carry the discipline of meditation beyond prayer and into your work, relationships, and daily decisions.
Some of the topics we'll cover:
A precise and corrective definition of Christian meditation, restoring it from cultural confusion to its rightful place in the Christian life.
Recovering imagination as a God-given faculty for faith, vision, and beholding unseen realities, as practiced by the fathers of old.
Understanding the difference between meditation and prayer and how they walk in hand with each other.
Learning how scripture was used by the saints as a tuning instrument for the heart and a doorway into the presence of God.
Identifying the various methods of spiritual engagement used by prophets, patriarchs, and the early church, and when each is applied.
Learning the structure of our inner anatomy, understanding the nature of our thoughts and emotions and the role they play in communing with God.
Understanding how culture, temperament, and inner wiring shape the soul’s natural pathways of attention, and why some methods of spiritual engagement work for some and fail for others.
